Northbrook's Far West Corner, Past Sanders Road

What it is

Past Sanders Road, north of Dundee, most of Northbrook crosses into Wheeling Township. Lindenwood Lane, Arrowwood Drive and Buckthorn Court are the house streets, built in the 1970s and 1980s with three to five bedrooms. The townhomes are on Caribou Crossing, Andover Circle, Exeter Lane and Fourwinds Lane.

It is a small area, about 300 parcels, so a year of sales here is a dozen homes. This year the houses sold in a narrow band, $500,000 to $770,000, and the townhomes in a narrower one.

Streets you will see in the table: Lindenwood Lane, Arrowwood Drive and Buckthorn Court; the townhomes on Caribou Crossing, Andover Circle, Exeter Lane and Fourwinds Lane.

What sold, and for how much

Eight houses sold here between July 2025 and June 2026, from $500,000 to $770,000. The middle half sold between $641,000 and $735,000, and the median was $707,500. Most of the houses that sold were built in the 1980s (5 of the 8 with a year on record), with 1970s houses mixed in. The middle half of them had 2,297 to 2,486 square feet, and 5 of the 8 with a bedroom count had four bedrooms or more. At the median a house went for about $287 a square foot.

The top sale was $770,000, a 1986 house on Lindenwood Lane with 2,155 square feet, in May 2026.

Townhomes and condos: four townhomes sold, $600,000 to $660,000, median $642,500.

The houses here are alike enough that the sales on your own street say more than any town-wide number. No house built in 2016 or later sold here this year, so rebuilding is the exception here; a kept-up house is what sells. Schools, by address

Most of the area feeds Wheeling District 21 and then Township High School District 214, not Glenbrook North. A few addresses, on the Northfield Township side of the township line, feed District 27 and Glenbrook North. The line runs through the area, so the parcel record decides, and we pull it for every house before you write an offer.

Of the 12 homes that sold here in the last 12 months, county records put 10 in Wheeling District 21 and 2 in District 27.
