What people say about Beverly
Beverly is where Chicago has a hill, and everything about the neighborhood follows from that one geographic accident.
Beverly is a house neighborhood. The streets along the ridge hold big, solid, older homes on wide lots, many of them brick and stone, and that is most of what sells here. The Metra commuter train runs right down the middle, which is a large part of the appeal for anyone working downtown.
Two flats exist here, a two flat being two apartments stacked in one building, but only about two of them sell in a whole year. That is why there is no Beverly two flat price on this page. There is not enough to measure. If a two unit building is what you are after, Auburn Gresham and Chatham sell many more of them, and we can walk you through either one.
What people buy in Beverly is the house and the block: Ridge Park, the historic district, and streets that have looked the way they look for a hundred years.
